We started by doing it ourselves: selling the house, casting off, learning offshore the hard way. Today we run the brokerage we wished existed when we were buying our first boat: a curated handful of bluewater cruisers, brokers who've done the passages, and buyers who've trained for the life that comes after the closing.

    Keith Whitaker

    In 2016, Keith and his wife sold their suburban Texas home, said goodbye to friends and family, and bought a sailboat to circumnavigate the globe, with three kids in tow and zero sailing experience. Today they've crossed three oceans on both a monohull and a catamaran.

    90 days in we were wondering what we'd gotten ourselves into. Now we can't imagine any other life.

    In 2016, one month before his youngest daughter was born, Chris and his wife bought a boat to sail the world. He'd spent eight years running an international investment sales business and walked away from it to live differently. He's since crossed two oceans with his wife and two daughters.

    It changed my life for the better, and my family's. Now I get to help others make the same leap.
